Dried malt extract has become popular for use in dry-mixes. It has the advantage of a longer shelf-life, ease of handling, ease of storage and precise weighing.

Band Dried Malt Extract
We have an extensive range of vacuum band dried malt extracts for a variety of applications including as a food ingredient. The wort is concentrated by vacuum evaporator to 80% w/w solids, and then dried in a vacuum drier.

Below is an example of some of our band dried malt extracts and cereal syrups we offer both non-diastatic band dried malt extract and diastatic band dried malt extract. The figures given represent a typical analysis. Variations to colour, pH and Diastatic Power can be made to suit customer requirements.

Spray Dried Malt Extract
We have an extensive range of spray dried malt extracts for a variety of applications. This product is widely used as a food ingredient and is also used by brewers instead of sugar.

The filtrate is concentrated by means of an evaporator to 80% w/w solids and then dried in a spray dryer.

Below is an example of some of our spray dried malt extracts. The figures given represent a typical analysis. Variations to colour, pH and Diastatic Power can be made to suit customer requirements.
