British DiaMalt celebrated its centenary on 27th January 2009 . The company has been manufacturing and supplying the Worldwide food and beverage industry with premium malt products for 100 years.
Many tourists come and visit the factory and stay in holiday accommodation. There is a good selection of holiday homes to rent nearby. Many visitors rent holiday cottages during their holidays to this area. They are then able to use the holiday cottages as a base to visit British DiaMalt and also explore the local area.
TRAVEL
By Road: The office and factory are a short distance from the meeting point of
the A1 (major road linking London and Scotland),
A46 (major road across East Midlands) and A17 (major road to
East Anglia). See Map

By Rail: The site is
a 5 minutes walk from Newark Northgate Station. The station is served by
GNER services, with direct trains to & from London Kings Cross,
Peterborough, Doncaster, Kingston-upon-Hull, Wakefield, Leeds, York,
Newcastle-upon-Tyne and Edinburgh. Trains run approximately every hour
from London Kings Cross and take just over one hour. British
DiaMalt is also a 5 minute taxi journey (20 minute walk) from Newark
Castle Station. This station is served by Central Trains with direct
trains to & from Cardiff, Birmingham, Leicester, Derby,
Nottingham and Lincoln. Trains from Nottingham run regularly Mon to
Sat and take under 30 minutes (Limited service on
Sunday).
